What kinds of mission statements or core values do Christian colleges emphasize?

Each Christian college or university will have their own specific mission statement or core value. Some will subscribe to the specific values of a certain denomination or connected church, and some will operate on a more non-denominational level. So, it is impossible to say that there are specific mission statements that every Christian college or university subscribes to.

There are some common values that you may find many schools emphasize on some level. One of those will be integrating the Bible into the curriculum, teaching students through the lens of Biblical truth how the world and education relate to it. This goes hand in hand with another common mission statement, which is having something to do with preparing Christians to succeed, change the world, or make an impact in life after college.

Another common mission statement may have something to do with creating disciples of Christ and promoting Christlikeness in students. Cultivating and developing Christians through Biblical truth, spiritual guidance, and academic excellence is a way that one might sum up many of the mission statements and values that Christian colleges and universities emphasize. Again, some Christian colleges may have different values or specific mission statements, but many will focus on Biblical truth, the nurturing of faithful Christians, and the pursuit of academic excellence and/or creating lifelong learners.
